Assistant Director of Nursing

Akeso Healthsearch is a leading nursing and healthcare recruitment agency. We work in partnership with both public and private hospitals, as well as in semi-acute facilities, paediatric homecare, residential services, and practice nursing.

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Assistant Director of Nursing to join a nursing home in Co. Wicklow. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure efficient operation of the nursing home and maintain a positive environment for residents.
• Provide nursing care, monitor resident health, and coordinate with healthcare professionals as needed.
• Administer prescribed medications and keep accurate records according to NMBI and company guidelines.
• Assist the Director of Nursing in auditing care documentation to ensure best practices.
• Support a respectful and dignified relationship with residents, promoting their independence.

Key Requirements:

• Current NMBI registration.
• Previous management or supervisory experience, with a minimum of two years preferred.
• Effective communication skills and a strong team-oriented approach.
• Experience or certification in Care of the Elderly.
