We are now seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join a well-established, resident-focused nursing home in Kildare. Whether you are already based locally or commuting from Dublin, this is an excellent opportunity to step into a leadership role with real impact.
As Assistant Director of Nursing, you’ll be a key driver of quality care and team development. This is more than a management position—it’s a chance to lead with compassion, inspire staff, and ensure residents receive exceptional, person-centred support every day.
Active NMBI registration as a Registered Nurse
At least 6 years’ experience working in a nursing home, including 2+ years in management
A recognised certificate in leadership or management
Strong communication, organisational, and mentoring skills
Eligibility to work in Ireland
A genuine passion for promoting excellence in care and professional growth among your team
Oversee and maintain the highest standards of nursing and social care, tailored to individual needs
Manage care plans, assessments, and clinical standards with attention to detail and quality outcomes
Supervise medication management, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with best practices
Mentor and support CNMs, nurses, and care assistants through training and ongoing development
Perform regular audits to maintain safety, hygiene, and clinical excellence
Work closely with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver a truly resident-first approach
