Director of Nursing

Akeso Healthsearch is a leading nursing and healthcare recruitment agency. We work in partnership with both public and private hospitals, as well as in semi-acute facilities, paediatric homecare, residential services, and practice nursing.
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Director of Nursing to join a care of the elderly facility in a number of locations across Ireland.

Key responsibilities

• Adhere to and follow the hiqa guidelines.
• Lead and mentor the nursing team, fostering a culture of excellence in patient care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Manage staff scheduling and ensure adequate coverage for all patient care needs.
• Drive continuous quality improvement by monitoring patient outcomes and implementing corrective actions.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
• Must have a driver’s license.
• A minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a senior leadership or management role.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Excellent knowledge of hiqa guidelines and the hiqa process.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and staff development.
• Must have experience working with a budget
