Akeso Healthsearch is a leading nursing and healthcare recruitment agency. We work in partnership with both public and private hospitals, as well as in semi-acute facilities, paediatric homecare, residential services, and practice nursing.

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Director of Nursing to join a nursing home in Westmeath. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high standards of nursing and social care, ensuring personalized care plans for each resident.
• Conduct regular audits, implement quality improvements, and ensure compliance with HIQA standards.
• Oversee staff induction, training, and promote innovative care practices.
• Maintain effective communication with staff and community agencies, fostering resident engagement.
• Implement and monitor Health and Safety policies, including fire safety, hygiene, and preventive maintenance.

Requirements:

• Registered General Nurse (RGN) with active NMBI registration.
• Minimum 3 years of recent experience in elder care and 3 years in healthcare management.
• Post-registration management qualification in health or related field.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Financial acumen with ability to manage budgets and administrative responsibilities.
