We are currently seeking a locum part-time Practice Nurse for a well-established practice Co. Kilkenny. This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a supportive, patient-focused team in a flexible and rewarding role.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, a patient-centred approach, and experience working in a general practice or primary care setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a GP practice setting.
• Conduct health assessments, routine checks, and patient monitoring.
• Administer vaccinations and immunisations in line with clinical guidelines.
• Support chronic disease management and patient follow-ups.
• Perform wound care, dressings, and other relevant nursing procedures.
• Assist with health promotion, preventative care, and patient education.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure patient confidentiality.
• Work collaboratively with GPs and the wider healthcare team.

Requirements:

• Must be a Registered General Nurse with the NMBI
• Experienced in Phlebotomy
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and telephone skills
• Computer literate
• Excellent organisational skills
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Flexible attitude to changing work practices
• Must be living in Ireland with an Irish address at the time of application
