Akeso Healthsearch is working with a well-established nursing home in the Connemara region of Galway to find an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON). What you’ll bring:

• NMBI registration as a Registered Nurse

• At least 2 years’ management experience and 3 years in a nursing home within the past 6 years

• QQI Level 6 in Management or Leadership

• Post-registration qualification in gerontology and/or dementia care (desirable)

• A genuine passion for leading teams, supporting development, and delivering the highest standards of resident care

What you’ll be doing:

• Overseeing care delivery, ensuring it’s tailored to each resident’s needs

• Driving high clinical standards through assessments, care plans, and audits

• Supporting and mentoring staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement

• Acting as a trusted point of contact for residents and families, ensuring a person-centred approach

• Collaborating closely with the Director of Nursing and wider multidisciplinary team
